At Appit 4 Travel, we believe it is important to always think along with our customers to keep improving the app. We often hear from travel agents that a chat function is interesting. This is to enable, among other things, communication with the customer along 2 paths.

Why did we develop the chat feature?
The social aspect is very important. Travelling stands for being together, being social … So a chat feature could not be missing.
So we make it possible, for example, for a tour guide to communicate announcements through the app. Travellers can easily reply and consequently stay up-to-date.
That’s not the only reason: customer confirmation was our ultimate trigger to develop the chat.
Operation of the chat
As you may already know, we work with different subscription types. The chat feature is available for the Pro+ and Premium subscription types.
Currently, there is a trip-level chat function that can be participated in by all travellers, tour guides and the tour operator itself. The tour operator itself has the option to open or close the chat at any time.
Initially, the chat is a ‘group chat’. Anyone participating can do so without entering an e-mail address or phone number. However, a chat name is mandatory and a profile picture is optional.
In addition, the chat can be taken to an even higher level; we give the opportunity to personalise the chat with the Premium subscriptions. The chat gets the look and feel of the travel organisation by customising different colours (such as the colour of the speech bubbles). That way, their story is true from A-Z.
Using the chat yourself?
